Raven J. Houdek was born in Prague in 1964.
During the 1969 Russian invasion she and her mother fled to Vienna.
By the time Raven was five years old, her mother had saved enough money to move them to New York. Always interested in art and painting since she was a small child,
Raven was influenced by the artists Salvador Dali and Carrivagio, as well as Arabic, Indian and Egyptian Arts and Culture. Raven studied at the College of Visual Arts in New York, where she acquired a degree in fine art and Illustration . Her paintings can be found in private collections in the United states and Europe. She currently lives with her husband in the mountains of Northern California.
